I’ve fallen in love with this amazing series。 The first book was great， but this second book was next level awesome。 This second chance/sports romance packed in so many emotions as Everly and Hawk reunited after 9 years apart。Hawk achieved his dream of becoming an NHL star hockey player and was considered the GOAT （Greatest of all time） at just 27 years old。 Everly was his best friend and girlfriend until 3 days before she left for college and he left for hockey。 Their breakup came out of left f I’ve fallen in love with this amazing series。 The first book was great， but this second book was next level awesome。 This second chance/sports romance packed in so many emotions as Everly and Hawk reunited after 9 years apart。Hawk achieved his dream of becoming an NHL star hockey player and was considered the GOAT （Greatest of all time） at just 27 years old。 Everly was his best friend and girlfriend until 3 days before she left for college and he left for hockey。 Their breakup came out of left field for Hawk， but was devastating to both of them。Now Everly has been hired by his NHL team & Coach to work with him as a sports psychologist。 Despite some initial awkwardness that comes from seeing a lost love for the first time in nearly a decade， these two just fit so well together。They spend hours together every day while he works out， they talk and then spend the afternoons running or swimming together。 The emotional connection between these two characters is intense， but fraught with some growing pains as they each have to accept the past， learn from it and then decide what they want in the future。 The author put these characters through their paces， but we see them develop and grow their relationship。 Another part I love about this series is the Thomas family。 Everly is the oldest of 5 sisters and they are each wonderful， strong and incredibly unique。 The firefighters and locals of Honey Mountain are also a big part of the stories。 I’m so looking forward to many future visits to Honey Mountain with the release of each new book in the series。This author has been added to my list of must read authors！I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review。 。。。more

I liked the story but it didn’t grab me like Vivi’s story in the first book。 I hate it when my husband says this to me about my cooking…but I gotta say that I felt like the story was missing something。 I love that Hawk was a cinnamon roll and Everly was the psychologist with the emotional roadblocks。 I can’t wait for Ashlan and Jace’s story next。 Single dads are my romance trope jam。 🥰
